Programme Officer Social Protection Specialist
Estrategas is seeking a highly skilled Programme Officer Social Protection Specialist to contribute to our Disability Inclusive Development initiatives in Central America. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our social protection engagement and related areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on formal and informal social protection schemes in Central America, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and manage projects that promote disability-inclusive social protection, working closely with our partners and stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to our team and partners on social protection and inclusion best practices.
- Develop and manage proposals for funding from donors such as USAID and the EU, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organisations.
- Contribute to the development of our organisational strategy and policies related to social protection and inclusion.
- Master's degree in social sciences, international development, humanitarian studies, social policy, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in programme management, with a focus on social protection and inclusion.
- Proven track record of developing and managing projects, including proposal writing and grant management.
- Excellent knowledge of social protection schemes in Central America, including mainstream and disability-specific initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
