Social Protection Programme Officer

Programme Officer Social Protection

We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Officer Social Protection to contribute to our organisation's mission in Central America. The successful candidate will have a strong background in social sciences, international development, or a related field, and a proven track record of work in programmes related to social protection and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on formal and informal social protection schemes in Central America
  • Identify gaps and assess opportunities to improve accessibility and responsiveness to persons with disabilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote disability-inclusive social protection engagement
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to shape and implement projects
  • Manage projects and programmes, including proposal writing, budgeting, and reporting
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in social sciences, international development, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in NGOs, government, or other organisations with a focus on social protection and inclusion
  • Experience in project management, proposal writing, and results-based management
  • Knowledge of social protection schemes in Central America
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team
