Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and timely customs, transcon and/or distribution process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and Trace files and reporting
  • Ensure accurately and timely client and service providers billing.
  • Understand all the elements of the import and export Operating Procedures and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer's instructions and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, local and international laws, rules and regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures and external government regulations or customer policies/requirements.
  • Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
  • Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
  • Coordinate and negotiate rates with our contracted vendors in procuring space and services.
  • Pro-actively provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions and technical assistance to clients through internal sales both regional and global.
  • Respond to requests for proposal, quotation or information timely and with market competitive pricing matching the scope of service required by the customer.
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their transcon, customs and/or distribution shipments, meeting customer service standards.
  • Proactively monitor exception reports to ensure Expeditors is meeting key event milestones within the life of a shipment.
  • Work in meeting KPI standards as per the company's procedures.
  • Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
Requisitos
  • Good knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation.
  • Strong market and competition knowledge
  • Understanding of ocean, road and air documentation process
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active approach, strong organizational and computer skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Winning Attitude
