Main Purpose:

To support and deploy the overall Operational Technology for Liquid Terminals, aligned with the objectives set by Impala Terminals. The successful candidate will lead the regional team and contractors, aligning with other functional teams in the necessities for Technology in all types of terminals while streamlining where possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all OT projects and activities are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to defined quality standards and meet agreed user specifications and expectations.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies and procedures on application support service.
  • Lead all service operation processes that include incident management, configuration management, change management, release management, and applications support.
  • Ensure that all support or service requests are dealt with according to the agreed procedures.
  • Implement cross-function training and knowledge sharing among the team members. Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures.
  • Conduct as project manager all initiatives for support, new releases, upgrades and new deployments.
  • Follow common methodology for the Projects and Support.
  • Ensure that project activities/timelines for multi-faceted projects are integrated and all critical project information is documented and stored so it can be leveraged for future project planning and reference. Provide regular reporting to Executive Committee on projects' progresses.
  • Establish SLAs with service for support teams which are aligned with heads of functional teams across all types of Terminals.
  • Monitor support team effectiveness and adherence to the established SLAs.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to members of the team in order to allow further personal development and opportunities for each member to progress.
  • Prepare documents, meeting materials, and correspondence as per responsibilities.
  • Work alongside the team to drive towards successful completion of projects or support items, especially when complex to support the team.
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all Stakeholders and sites.
  • Manage the various means of OT (Budget, team, resources, projects).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience leading deployments solutions integrating applications and OT.
  • PMP certification is preferred with an understanding of technical infrastructure and information technology.
  • University Degree in Engineering or relevant field.
  • Spanish and English fluency.
  • Masters degree highly desired.
Requirements:
  • 10 – 15 years of Operational Technology experience in the field.
  • 10 – 15 years of project management experience.
  • Years management experience on financial planning, budgeting, and organizational management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization. Proven ability to simplify complex project details and explain on all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise strong technical and business judgment in mission critical Automation projects with-in Operations and Terminal environments.
  • Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skills must have an abiding curiosity and interest for Industrial equipment and Terminal Operations practices.
  • Strong People management in order to provide guidance to cross functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Demonstrated team player and ability to make teams function considering the varieties of experience and cultures in the teams.
Bilingual:
  • English and + (local national language).
  • Be able to travel at very short notice to all countries where there are active TMS operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oil and Gas.
  • Strong understanding of Oil/Downstream platforms would be advantageous.
  • Proven expertise in integrating Industrial equipment and understanding communication protocols.
  • Working knowledge of networking routers, firewalls, switches such as Cisco, Citrix, VPN, and Link optimization appliances.
  • Working knowledge of Automation processes.
  • Strong written and spoken English essential (Other languages (Spanish, and Portuguese) French is a plus).
  • Effective communicator with different types of audiences: Executive Committee, internal teams, and vendors.
  • Can Adapt and cope with changing environments.
  • Experience leading Support for Liquid terminal management systems (FBS, CBS desirable).
