VP of Engineering

At Osigu, we are on a mission to simplify healthcare access through technology, creating seamless connections between patients, providers, and payers. We are looking for a visionary engineering leader to join us as our VP of Engineering and help us scale our platform to impact millions more lives.

As the operational and strategic heart of our engineering team, you will be the force that turns our ambitious product vision into high-quality execution. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own the engineering delivery lifecycle, cultivate an exceptional team culture, and professionalize our processes for scale.

You will also serve as a key partner to the CEO and C-Suite, ensuring engineering is a predictable and powerful engine for business growth. If you thrive on building healthy, high-performing teams and creating systems that enable scale, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Lead and Scale the Organization

  • Manage, mentor, and grow our team of Engineering Managers.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Own Predictable Delivery

  • Implement and refine agile processes to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of the roadmap.
  • Make engineering execution a source of confidence across the company.

Architect People Systems

  • Design and roll out career ladders, performance frameworks, and recruiting strategies.
  • Attract, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Define and track key metrics for team health, code quality, and system reliability.
  • Own and optimize the engineering budget for efficiency and impact.

Be a Strategic Partner & Deputy to the CTO

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other departments.
  • Represent engineering in executive discussions and act as the CTO's delegate with C-Levels, clients, and vendors.

Champion Technical Health

  • Balance delivery of new features with managing technical debt.
  • Ensure long-term scalability and health of the platform.

What You'll Bring

Proven Experience at Scale

  • Track record of leading and scaling engineering organizations in a manager-of-managers role.
  • Experience growing teams from similar or larger size.

Deep People Leadership Skills

  • Empathetic leader skilled in coaching managers, conflict resolution, and inclusive culture-building.

Operational and Process Mastery

  • Expertise in modern SDLC, with proven ability to use metrics and process to improve predictability and velocity.

Strong Business Acumen

  • Ability to translate business goals into technical strategy.
  • Skilled at aligning engineering decisions with company growth and communicating with executives.

Exceptional Communication & Influence

  • Comfortable presenting to executives and external stakeholders.
  • Full professional proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Strong Architectural Acumen

  • Technical background that commands team respect.
  • Capable of understanding architecture quickly and ensuring alignment with long-term vision.

A Partnership Mindset

  • Collaborative approach with Product and other departments.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in HealthTech, FinTech, or regulated industries.
  • Background managing globally distributed or remote-first teams.
  • Passion for data-driven decision making.

Location & Travel

  • Hybrid role: mix of remote work and in-office collaboration.
  • International travel required for strategic meetings, on-sites, and client engagements.
