About the Position
A well-established
Personal Injury Law Firm
is seeking an experienced
Paralegal or Legal Assistant
with a strong background in
California Civil Discovery and Civil Litigation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and has excellent writing and organizational skills.
This position requires experience supporting attorneys in
plaintiff-side injury cases
and the ability to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining precision and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and
summarize written discovery
(Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Production, and Requests for Admission). - Propound written discovery
using firm-provided templates and ensure accuracy and completeness of all responses. - Prepare and file
pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
in compliance with
California filing protocols. - Knowledge of
Los Angeles County eFiling and court submission procedures
is a strong plus. - Schedule court calls and hearings
, and efficiently
look up case registries
in California courts. - Assist in
trial preparation
, including exhibit binders, witness coordination, and document management. - Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Maintain accurate case files and calendars.
Qualifications
- Minimum
2+ years of experience
as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a
personal injury firm
. - Strong working knowledge of
California Civil Discovery
and
Civil Litigation procedures
. - Familiarity with
California court filing protocols
;
Los Angeles filing experience
is highly preferred. - Proficient in
Microsoft Office
,
Adobe Acrobat
, and
case management software
(e.g., Clio, Filevine, or similar). - Excellent
legal writing, grammar, and attention to detail
. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Attorneys welcome to apply.
- Experience preparing discovery responses and trial preparation independently.
- Familiarity with reviewing medical records and drafting settlement demands.
Compensation & Benefits
What We Offer:
• Salary of Q 9,000.00 to Q 11,000.00 per month, depending on experience
• Telephone and computer strictly for the use of employment
• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
or 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
