Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and execution for a health clinics chain. The CTO will play a critical role in driving innovation, optimizing our existing technology infrastructure, and ensuring that technology solutions align with our business objectives. This is an on-site position based in Guatemala City, with occasional travel to our offices and clinics in Costa Rica.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the technology strategy: Define the overall technology vision, strategy, and roadmap for Blue Medical, in alignment with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee technology operations: Manage and optimize the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications, to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
  • Lead technology innovation: Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies and solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance patient care, and drive business growth. This includes exploring and implementing telehealth solutions, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and other digital health tools.
  • Manage technology projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined requirements.
  • Ensure data security and compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect patient data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Manage the technology team: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with other departments, including clinical operations, finance, and marketing, to understand their technology needs and ensure alignment with the overall technology strategy.
  • Manage technology budget: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends: Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role, with a track record of successfully developing and implementing technology strategies.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and security.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS solutions.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
