GAIA collaborates with skilled professionals in the field, leveraging advanced software for traffic micro-modeling and site impact analyses. The company is recognized for its role in public transportation projects, including BRT systems and non-motorized transport initiatives such as cycling infrastructure and universal access.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Engineer based in Guatemala City. The Junior Engineer will assist in executing urban and transportation studies, analyzing data, preparing reports, and using specialized software for traffic modeling. The role involves on-field data collection, collaboration with the project team, and contributing to impact studies, including road and environmental assessments.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in data analysis, research methods, and report preparation
- Skills in traffic modeling and familiarity with specialized software tools
- Knowledge of urban planning, mobility studies, and transportation planning
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
- Fluency in Spanish and basic proficiency in technical English
- Education in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
- Previous experience in urban studies or transportation projects is advantageous
