The Purchasing and Demand Planner is responsible for centralizing and leading the multi-location purchasing and demand planning operations. He/She will ensure that 18 U.S. branch locations are consistently stocked and prepared to deliver next-day service to customers. Success in this role means achieving cost savings through efficient procurement, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting company growth by streamlining supply chain processes.

Responsibilities are as follows and are not limited to:



Develop and maintain demand forecasts for flooring products


•Monitor branch inventory levels and stock replenishment requests. Proactively allocate inventory or initiate transfers between distribution centers and branches to meet regional demand while optimizing inventory turns and reducing excess stock.

• Supplier Coordination & Negotiation


• Accounts Payable & Claims Support


• New Product Setup


• Implement buying strategies to optimize purchasing (e.g. bulk ordering for cost breaks, vendor consolidation). Contribute to higher-level planning processes such as Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by providing supply capabilities and inventory projections


• Process Improvement


• Coordinate daily with U.S.-based operations managers and branch staff regarding inventory needs, stock-outs, or priority orders.


• Reporting & Analytics

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.

· B2 High English Level

· At least years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or procurement,

preferably in a multi-location distribution or manufacturing environment

· Strong knowledge of ERP systems (experience with Odoo or a similar ERP is highly

desired) and proficient in using planning tools or MRP systems to manage demand and

supply.

· Demonstrated expertise in demand forecasting, purchasing, and supplier management –

including handling international suppliers or imports.
