Senior Health Systems Advisor, Guatemala

Save the Children is seeking a highly experienced Senior Health Systems Advisor to lead the implementation of its USAID-funded Health Service Delivery Activity in Guatemala. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to strengthen Guatemala's healthcare system, improving access to health services for rural and indigenous populations.
About the Role:
- Provide overall leadership and technical guidance to the project team, ensuring effective implementation of activities and achievement of program goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, local communities, and international partners.
- Design and oversee the implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and results.
- Collaborate with technical teams to institutionalize best practices and provide technical assistance to strengthen health systems and human resources for health.
- Support the capacity development of local institutions and ensure effective integration of digital health solutions to improve service delivery.
About You:
- You have a university degree in public health, health administration, or a related field.
- You have 8-10 years of senior-level experience leading and managing multi-sectoral, donor-funded programs, preferably in maternal and child health, family planning, nutrition, WASH, and health systems strengthening.
- You possess strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- You are fluent in Spanish and English.
- You have experience implementing development programming in Guatemala and/or Latin America.
