Requirements
- Passion for our mission of empowering small businesses to thrive
- Possess 1-3 years of experience as a credit analyst, underwriting analyst, or compliance analyst
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, legal studies, or a related field, with proficiency in SQL
- Experience with small business organizational documents and government registrations, with an ability to identify doctored items
- Proactive in resolving escalated client issues and addressing gaps in credit guidelines or policies
- Adaptable and fast learner, proficient in case management systems such as Salesforce or Pipefy, with a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to integrity and ethics
- Analyze KYC Information: Examine Know Your Customer (KYC) identifying information for both principal and business entities, as well as the payor, to assess compliance and credit risk according to established policies and procedures within designated service level agreements
- Troubleshoot Data Issues: Address data availability issues and review alternative data sources related to the ID verification process when necessary
- Periodic KYC Reviews: Conduct periodic reviews of KYC records, ensuring that due diligence has been performed and standards are met
- Follow Up on Tax and Risk: Follow up on tax balances, risk of levy, and federal and state tax liens, maintaining detailed records and notes on clients
- Assess Credit Risk and Relationships: Review the credit risk of clients and payors, assessing the validity of relationships between clients and payors by reviewing contracts (such as commercial contracts, MSAs, purchase agreements, etc.) and/or invoices
- Support and Collaborate on Credit Systems: Support activities related to enhancing or optimizing credit and risk systems, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (including sales, customer success, and operations) to ensure an optimal customer experience while balancing risk, and query data to make informed decisions, reporting findings to the Head of Risk to adjust credit and risk policies
- Bonus points: if you have: 1+ year of experience supporting factoring companies, ABL lending, or applicable experience in credit risk assessment in various industries
